Black

Opaque black barrels provide complete light blockage for fluids that cannot tolerate any light exposure during dispensing. Where amber barrels reduce light to a minimum, black barrel block it entirely, making them the right choice for the most light-sensitive fluids.

Pistons

Pistons work with the syringe barrel to deliver fluid cleanly and consistently. For thicker fluids, the piston provides a clean wipe of the syringe wall to maximize fluid use. For lower viscosity fluids, tight wall contact prevents snuff-back into the dispenser and eliminates dripping at the dispense tip, while also containing odors from volatile materials during dispensing.

Selecting the Right Piston

The degree of fit between piston and barrel wall varies by piston type — and selecting the right fit for your fluid's viscosity is what ensures stable, repeatable dispensing.

As a general rule, tighter-fit pistons (such as pink) work best for low viscosity fluids, preventing dripping and improving dispensing accuracy. For higher viscosity materials, looser-fit pistons (such as yellow) reduce friction and allow operators to work at lower dispensing pressures.

PINK

Tight fit for low viscosity fluids. Prevents dripping and improves dispensing accuracy.

Green

For mid-range viscosity fluids. Reduces friction while maintaining wall contact.

Yellow

For thick, stringy materials. Flat wall style prevents material from sticking.

blue

Flat wall style, loose fit for use with thick, stringy materials.

RPE

Patented

Patented reversed wiper design allows entrapped air to escape upward during dispensing rather than compress. Ideal for greases, RTV silicones, silver pastes, and epoxies.
