Needle Valve
The SV51MD is a precision needle valve designed to stably dispense ultra-trace amounts of low-viscosity liquids down to 1 microliter. Its advanced shut-off design features a structure where the needle penetrates into the dispense tip, stopping the liquid just before the outlet. This mechanism provides the highest level of liquid drainage in the valve lineup, ensuring a reliable, drip-free shut-off and stable discharge volumes for easy process management. For high-speed applications, the SV51MD can achieve a stable 50Hz cycle when combined with an SVEM solenoid valve. It is ideal for micro-coating applications using epoxy adhesives, fluxes, oils, inks, solvents, and UV-curable adhesives.

How the Valve Operates
Air pressure retracts the piston needle from the hub of the dispending tip, allowing fluid to flow (Figure 1). When the cycle completes, a spring returns the piston needle to its seated position, shutting off fluid flow (Figure 2).
