Spray Valve

The SV91 is a spray valve designed to provide consistent coating of low to medium viscosity fluids, enabling high transfer efficiency through the use of low volume, low pressure air. This method of atomization eliminates the overspray and misting common with other spray systems. The spray quality can be perfectly controlled with the selection of the most appropriate nozzle, with options available to create various round and fan-shaped spray patterns. The valve operates with a fast-acting needle that retracts to allow fluid flow, which is then atomized by nozzle air for a consistent, controlled coating.

Features

  • High Transfer Efficiency - Utilizes low volume, low pressure air to provide a consistent coating with high transfer efficiency and no overspray or misting.
  • Fluid Compatibility - Designed for consistent application of low to medium viscosity fluids.
  • Controllable Spray Patterns - Spray quality and pattern (round or fan) can be perfectly controlled through the selection of different nozzles.
  • Durable Construction - The valve's air cylinder body, piston needle, fluid body, and nozzle air cap are constructed from SUS303 stainless steel.
  • Operating Parameters - Operates with a valve air pressure of 0.4~0.62MPa and a standard maximum nozzle air pressure of 0.2MPa.

How the Valve Operates

Air pressure retracts the needle from the nozzle seat, allowing fluid to flow. Simultaneously, nozzle air flows around the nozzle to atomize the fluid into fine droplets (Figure 1). When the cycle completes, the spring returns the piston needle to its seated position, shutting off fluid flow (Figure 2).

Spray Coverage Area

This valve is available with multiple nozzle sizes to accommodate different coverage requirements. The tables below show the spray coverage area (in millimeters) achieved by each nozzle size at various distances from the target surface.
